Autoharp Strings And Felt

Visit The "How To" Corner For Easy Felting Instructions And Stringing Tips

STRING TYPES

Oscar Schmidt OS73 Reissue strings and Chromaharp strings are slightly different from old 'A' style strings.
Old 'A' style strings are older Oscar Schmidt which anchor on hitch pins at the butt end of the autoharp.
'B' style strings anchor in an aluminum extrusion at the butt end of the autoharp.
Custom 37 string sets are for d'Aigle 37 string autoharps and most 37 string custom autoharps such as the Orthey, Fladmark, Hollandsworth, etc.

FELT TYPE

Most custom autoharps and the 21 bar Oscar Schmidt autoharps use the 3/16" high felt.
Oscar Schmidt 12 and 15 bar autoharps and some Chromaharps use the 1/4" high felt.
